Program Overview:

The Lean Experiential Awareness Program (LEAP) is a 1-day intensive training that introduces participants to the principles of Lean through experiential learning.

Instead of just theory, LEAP focuses on seeing, feeling, and experiencing Lean in action, through interactive activities, simulations, and real-world scenarios.

Participants will leave with a practical understanding of Lean principles and a clear roadmap for reducing waste, streamlining processes, and driving cultural transformation within their organizations.

What You Will Learn:

  • Foundations of Lean Thinking: Core principles, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Experiential Learning: Hands-on simulations that bring Lean concepts to life.
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM): Visualizing material and information flow to spot inefficiencies.
  • 5S Methodology: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain – workplace organization in action.
  • Problem-Solving Tools: Applying Root Cause Analysis & the PDCA cycle in real-world cases.
  • Cultural Transformation: Building and sustaining a Lean culture within organizations.

Program Focus:

Unlock operational excellence through seeing, feeling, and experiencing Lean in action.

Benefits of Attending:

  • Interactive & Engaging: Learn Lean by experiencing it, not just hearing about it

  • Cross-Industry Networking: Share knowledge with peers and leaders from diverse sectors

  • Immediate Impact: Apply skills and tools right after training

  • Expert Facilitation: Learn from industry leaders with real Lean implementation experience

Training Agenda & Flow:

Morning Session: Foundations & Hands-On Discovery (9:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
  • Foundations of Lean Thinking: Core principles, identification of the 8 wastes, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experiential Simulation 1: Hands-on simulation exposing bottlenecks, overproduction, and process friction in real time.
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM): Visualizing process flows, spotting inefficiencies, and mapping the current vs. future state.
  • Interactive Group Debrief: Analyzing simulation outcomes and linking findings to workplace reality.
Networking Lunch (12:30 PM – 1:30 PM)

Cross-industry networking lunch and peer exchange.

Afternoon Session: Lean Tools & Cultural Transformation (1:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
  • 5S Methodology in Action: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain for physical and digital workspaces.
  • Problem-Solving Tools & PDCA: Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle applied to practical scenarios.
  • Experiential Simulation 2: Re-running optimized workflows with Lean tools implemented, measuring immediate impact and performance gains.
  • Cultural Transformation Roadmap: Sustaining Lean practices, driving employee engagement, and action plan development.
