Richard McConnell – In Memoriam

Richard McConnell has had more than 35 years of experience developing and installing Behavior- Based Solutions throughout North America. He specialized in building and deploying performance management and employee engagement systems and has led numerous large-scale change initiatives. Prior to the development of his consulting practice, Richard was a Vice-President and Senior Executive in three national organizations. He has worked in Health Care, Transportation, Communications, Manufacturing, and Logistics organizations.

Richard had personally managed large groups of people during the past 30 years. At VON, his staff group was 125, and at VIA Rail, it was more than 200. He spent 5 years as a Senior Consultant and Vice President for ADI Canada. ADI and its founder Aubrey Daniels were listed in the American Guru Guide for expertise in Performance Management. This, as well as coaching, were critical elements of their consulting practice. He had operated as an internal consultant throughout his career. Richard didn’t believe in “cookie cutter” or “one size fits all” solutions. He believed that the best solutions are unique to the organization and are carefully assembled through detailed consultation.
